Learn more about the 2021 West Broadway Avenue Bridges reconstruction project

You are Invited! We are passing along the information from our Hennepin County Partners.

Hennepin County will begin reconstruction of the West Broadway Avenue Bridges (County Road 81) in Minneapolis and Robbinsdale this year.

Starting as soon as April, we will begin replacing the three bridges and improving the intersection below that connects Theodore Wirth and Victory Memorial parkways and Oakdale Avenue and Lowry Avenue (County Road 153).

The project will take two years to complete. We will reconstruct the bridges and the intersection in stages to allow for through traffic and maintain as much access as possible for the bridge, intersection and trail system users.

The improvements are the result of both an engagement effort and a design effort. The project will provide a better experience and enhance the safety for people driving in the area, as well as improve safety and connectivity for people using the trail system.
