NEAR Food Shelf Manager

Thea Bruley, Food Shelf Manager, joined the NEAR Food Shelf in 2021 with a broad background in Customer Service and business operations. Known for being an effective collaborator to develop creative and proactive solutions that exceed expectations. Since joining NEAR, she has been learning about the non-profit sector, specifically food insecurity and working towards aiding in the efforts to diminish it in our community. She is working to develop and implement strategies and programs to expand and enhance the shopping experience for our clients and meeting their needs. Also, working with our many multi-faceted volunteers to create and improve our processes. Prior to joining NEAR, Thea worked in Customer Service for the printing industry. Non-profit experience includes volunteering for Feed My Starving Children, Second Harvest Heartland, many groups within my church and serving on mission teams in the U.S. and in Liberia. Additionally, I am on the board for Enlighten Nimba, a non-profit with the mission to sustain and build educational programs and add community outreach to all people in Nimba County, Liberia. Positively impacting people, projects and outcomes.
