Business Resources for Small Businesses
A Note from Heather Rand
Community Development Director, City of Robbinsdale
The City of Robbinsdale has been participating in discussions with city and county community development leaders, as well as nonprofit partners across the metro area, to curate resources for small businesses impacted by the recent Federal Government immigration enforcement surge. There are several valuable resources available, including access to capital (grants), legal guidance, and operational support. Many of these services are available in multiple languages.
We encourage small business owners to explore the following resources:
Elevate Hennepin
Elevate Hennepin connects entrepreneurs and small businesses with free advising, access to capital, and technical assistance.

In addition, the City of Robbinsdale has compiled immigration-related resources for individuals and small businesses on its website:

Organizations such as the Minneapolis Foundation and the Minnesota Women’s Foundation are also working collaboratively with nonprofit partners to help move funding assistance into the community, supporting businesses not only in Minneapolis but throughout surrounding metro cities.
If you are a local business owner and need support, we encourage you to review these resources and schedule an appointment through Elevate Hennepin to determine what assistance may be available to you.
